I Am Super Meat Boy: 3 Indie Video Games You Should Be Playing

For gamers who need a reprieve from the bombastic press conferences and celebrity cameos that made up the huge, loud E3 gaming conference, Canadian filmmakers James Swirsky and Lisanne Pajot just released their documentary Indie Game: The Movie, which was one of our favorites from the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

The movie follows three independent game companies and their struggles to produce something different than the titles that stock the shelves of your local GameStop. Indie Game this week became the first movie released by the online video game marketplace Steam, and it will also be available as a direct download and through iTunes.

So what kind of games have these independent developers cooked up? Here's a rundown.
